The LT Challenge

When I ask people what they think it means to Live Tuned, they get that it is about living a more harmonious, healthy, balanced and happy life. When I ask how they would achieve that, they often say things like: Eating well, exercising, having meaningful work, fulfilling relationships, a connection to nature, clean water, air or food. They might visit all kinds of therapists and health practitioners to help them get there, too. They might read lots of books on personal growth. If they are more community or globally-oriented people, they might engage in all kinds of social initiatives to make the world a better place. But how often do they talk about love? Without it, all efforts to be more well, happy, healthy, balanced or harmonious have no foundation.

Most people focus on what they need to do to Live Tuned. They try to make changes like having a healthier diet, going to the gym, meeting new people, signing up for a dating site, looking for a new job, taking a course, or going back to school.

Goal-setting is important. But it doesn’t necessarily ensure greater health, balance and happiness. Goals are often external factors. When you Live Tuned, you accept that real change must come from within. Healthy transformations require a new way of being. Many methods exist to remove discomfort or pain, or to make you feel empowered, content or good. But from my experience, love–universal, unconditional, Divine–is the only real healer.

But how can we find our motivation and inspiration about how to live from within? What happens when our doing arises naturally from a state of being? What happens when this state of being is one of human refinement—one anchored in love?

Living Tuned is a state of being where you are attuned to the loving essence at the heart of your own self. If all our goals and corresponding actions come out of being in this state of oneness and clarity, then Love becomes the foundation of all we do. When we allow our essential loving nature to guide our choices, then we are really listening to what is appropriate, beneficial and harmonious for us and for others. We are attuned to what some might call our higher self, our Divine nature, or the Creator’s Will for us. We let go of those things in our lives that are absent of this higher will. We surrender to what is “natural” for us. And as we attune, we also connect more and more with our purpose. We are able to be of service. We are more accepting of our unique place, contribution and expression in the web of life. We are listening rather than willfully strategizing with the mind about what we should do and how we should live.

This, of course, is a process, based on the commitment to being as loving as we could be, to heal all within us that is absent of love. It is a constant journey, renewed in each moment. Sometimes it is easy to accept to live in this way. At other times, there is a lot of resistance. But as you stay committed, it becomes easier over time. You become stronger and clearer, “truer” to self, more balanced, harmonious, healthy, and happy.  This is the foundation of the work of Living Tuned. Living Tuned challenges you to make this commitment and offers you support and guidance if you need it. Sign up for The Living Tuned Challenge!
